Julien Mauve, “Greetings From Mars”.

In an all believable scenario, Julien Mauve has imagined tourists on Mars, armed with their phones, selfie-sticks and cameras. He has envisioned them as they wander around the deserted planet, through unlimited spaces and pausing to take a photograph.

Julien Mauve’s observation of discovery and exploration is as ironic as it is precise: for this series, created during a trip to California and Utah in the United States, he used replicas of the space suits worn by astronauts for the Apollo missions between 1968 and 1975.
